Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.**What You Will Be Doing:**Establish and maintain an effective data governance framework and ensure the integrity, quality, and security of our data assets. Play a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making, promoting data stewardship, and ensuring compliance with data-related regulations and policies.**What We're Looking For:*** Bachelor's or Master's degree in data management, information systems, privacy law or a related field is preferred.* Proven experience (10+ years) in data governance, data management, or a related role, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry typically required.* Strong understanding of data governance principles, data management practices, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).* Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and industry standards for data management.* Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies, such as data cataloging tools, metadata management tools, and data lineage tools.* Experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards.* Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and best practices for data protection.* Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage data governance initiatives.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.* Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy, data quality, and attention to detail.* Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.**Shelter's uncompromising commitment to excellence doesn't stop with our customers.
