Job Description

Are you an experienced, compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant with senior living experience who is ready for a change?

Do you want a real voice in your workplace instead of feeling like just a number?

Position overview

Above All Talent Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing therapy provider that delivers innovative rehab programs to senior living communities. Their model focuses on strong clinical outcomes, communication, and collaboration with long‑term care operators to ensure rehab programs start right—and stay right.

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join this progressive team and provide person‑centered services to adult and geriatric residents in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to adult and geriatric residents under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist, in accordance with the established plan of care.
  • Help residents develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and functional mobility.
  • Set up, adjust, and safely use equipment and adaptive devices during treatment sessions, spending much of the workday on your feet while actively engaging residents in therapy.
  • Observe and report resident performance, progress, and tolerance to treatment to the supervising Occupational Therapist, contributing to updates of the plan of care and treatment goals.
  • Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques, proper use of equipment, and energy conservation strategies as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Document daily treatments and resident responses accurately and in a timely manner, following facility, regulatory, and payer requirements.
  • Participate in care conferences and team meetings, collaborating with OT, PT, SLP, nursing, and other staff to support safe discharge planning and strong functional outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice (or eligibility prior to start).
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to state regulations governing the practice of occupational therapy assistants.
  • Prior experience in senior living, skilled nursing, post‑acute rehab, or long‑term care preferred.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with a resident‑centered, outcomes‑focused approach.
  • Ability to safely perform a physically active role, including frequent standing, walking, and assisting residents with mobility and self‑care tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring facility offers a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package. Full‑time benefits typically include:

  • Competitive pay
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Supplemental insurance options
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Advancement opportunities within a growing therapy organization
  • Supportive, team‑oriented, and fun work environment
